Fact Checking vs. Examiner.com

As is quickly becoming a regular occurrence, a recent Tribune article - FBI Agent Believes Mary Kennedy 'May Have Acted Alone' - was taken as real by a "reputable" journalistic source - Examiner.com.

In the mix of trying to establish the facts surrounding Kennedy's suicide, it appears that Roz Zurko - an "award-winning freelance writer whose articles have appeared on popular websites such as Fox 411, CNN.com, and TMZ" forgot to establish her sources.

We're proud of the fact that she even cited "Federal Agent Curtis Howard" who, as far as we know (see disclaimer), is utterly fictional. Have a read for yourselves, by clicking here.
