Tom Collins, 136, was killed several times over on October 13 by being repeatedly ingested at a birthday party for Robert McIlhenny at Forty Five Degrees on Massachusetts Avenue. "Yeah, the birthday boy and his friends were really putting away the Tom Collins," said bartender John Benson. "It's not a real common order anymore, but these guys were dropping 'em like flies." Also victim to the killing spree were Rob Roy, Harvey Wallbanger, and, for some reason, Shirley Temple.
