Tree Humiliated By All-Conquering Child

INDIANAPOLIS - A 47-year-old live oak tree was left humiliated Sunday by little Megan Dunphy of Indianapolis, after the all-powerful and conquering two-year-old walked mercilessly along one of its branches.

With the aid of her mother Karen, Megan reportedly let out multiple cute giggles as her 23lb frame trampled over the tree's bark, apparently with a fearless disregard for the tree's considerable stature.

Eye-witnesses said that the tree, presumably so shaken up by the incident, offered little resistance as the toddler uttered several unintelligible phrases denoting her utter delight at the unfolding events.

"She was certainly having a fun time," said local woman Nancy Hughes. "At one point, she began stomping her tiny little foot down on the tree as if to let it know who was boss. It was slightly terrifying."

Meanwhile, several pigeons in the area are recovering this afternoon after an audibly excited Megan proceeded to spend 10 minutes chasing a group of them down with a lollipop stick.
