Obituary - Paul Tinder

Paul Tinder, 37, died October 15 in his Nora home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. "He always thought of himself as this big victim of life," said Tinder's sister Jessica Blanchard. "For example, he blamed his depression on Mom and Dad for not raising him to have more self-esteem." Blanchard, a successful physician and social justice activist, continued, "He thought his trust issues were because the doctor who delivered him didn't have his consent to suction the birth gunk out of his nose. Can you believe it? Every one of his dozens of failed relationships was always the woman's fault, to hear Paul tell it. When he lost his job two years ago, he blamed his boss, President Obama, [Federal Reserve Chairman Ben] Bernanke, China, everyone and everything except his own constant screw-ups. It breaks my heart that this happened, but I think we all figured it would happen sooner or later." In Tinder's apartment, police found paperwork indicating that he had already filed lawsuits against the gun manufacturer, his landlord, his parents, and several of his former co-workers for their "gross negligence" in connection with his suicide.
